*** Information Portal for Financial Portal 1.0 *** (June 2008)

This is Randr Inc's first official Release of Financial Portal. We are truly (and I do mean truly) excited about this project and encourage all who download Financial Portal to give us your thoughts on our support forum or visit us at www.2d-financialportal.com.

Financial Portal

Finportal is actually a full transaction system as well as an accounting system. We designed it to be a stand alone system or to be integrated with other systems. Later this year we will have Finportal integrated with Randr's 2D (2nd Derivative) Portals for complex transactions such as rental, work orders, service and warranty.

Here is the overview of what is in the standalone Finportal:

Transaction System:

The Transaction System allows companies to easily automate their Selling and Purchasing Cycles.

The Selling Cycle has:

  • Blanket Sales Orders
  • Packing List
  • Individual Sales Contracts

The Purchasing Cycle has:

  • Blank Purchase Orderss
  • Warehouse Receivers
  • Individual Purchase Order Receipts
  • Individual Purchase Order Receipts

Inventory Managent provides complete inventory tracking with the ability to upload inventory adjustments. Transaction voiding creates a financial and inventory audit trail of the transaction reversal. Brokerage and Direct Shipment processing will be available in a future release.

Financial System:

The Financial and Accounting system gives companies the ability to control and track their financial flow. Designed to be flexible and easy-to-use, Finportal includes:

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • General Ledger
  • Reconciliation for:
    1. Banks and Credit Cards
    2. Commissions
    3. Freight
    4. Warranty

The Financial System is multicompany, multilocation, multicurrency, and uses Ithe Information Portal for reporting for standard financial, historical, tax reporting, and operational metrics.

Information Portal

We have a new version of the Information Portal that provides much of the flexible reporting that a company needs. Including an activity summary dashboard and flexible historical reporting with date ranges.

Make sure to download the correct Info Portal from Sourceforge.net. You will need the Information Portal for Financial Portal release. All reporting is done with this application, so it is needed. Visit Sourceforge.

What we missed:

The are a few things we were not able to get in the first release, but will get in a quickly as we can. First on the list is the ability to import from CSV data for files (e.g. customers, vendors, items, general ledger account numbers) as well as upload orders. So this will be coming soon. Also menu level security is not fully enabled. So we will complete that as fast as we can. Finally, the transaction side is single company, while the financial side is multi company. This will take a bit longer especially with all the transaction reversing logic, but it IS coming as fast as we can make.
