    JD Edwards is an excellent transaction processing system, but is notoriously weak when it comes to reporting. Infoportal gives you real time information on the state of your business, including things like vendor and customer performance, daily bookings and sales. The three year sales history reports by item, customer and territory (salesman) allow you to handle territory realignment so you are getting a true comparison of performance.     Infoportal runs on a stand alone linux server that can be built using an existing or new PC. It accesses the data directly from the JD Edwards data files, but most of work load takes place on the linux server not on your iSeries or AS/400. For users that only need inquiry access to your data, you do NOT have to purchase any additional JDE licenses since they will not be signing on to JDE, but instead will access the data through the Infoportal on the linux server.

    Information Portal for JD Edwards is free Open Source Software and it works directly with the JD Edwards data on your iSeries or AS400. Currently the source files are included with JD Edwards Warehouse Management Portal downloads. However, you want a separate copy, we will be happy to provide the source code and a war file for you. Just use our request form. Randr's philosophy is to bring affordable software to small and medium sized business which gives them the same and sometimes better tools than the larger companies at a fraction of the price (free).     Allows you to give Customers Web access to Information

    Infoportal security matrix allows you to give customers web acces to information from your JD Edwards transaction system. You can limit the user by company and JDE customer number (address book #) as well as control which reports and screens they can access. Infoportal allows you to fulfill those Customer requests for information access quickly, inexpensively and with little impact on your staff.

    Source Code

    You get the source code for the Infoportal. The application is written in Java with all the queries against the data base written using SQL. Currently uses Java 1.4.
